A tremendous celebration at the Viaduct marked the election of Dr Onkar Sahota and the defeat of the Tory deputy mayor.  Onkar will be working 3 days a week at the assembly and 2 days as a doctor enabling him to bring practical NHS experience to the assembly.  His speech was jubilantly applauded and Steve Pound MP and many others spoke in congratulation.   

Laura Nelson, Hobbayne’s lively ward chairwoman, is well at ease here at the post-election meeting of the GC Labour Party.  Laura is focusing our attention strongly on recruitment and we hope to see a growing membership in area that has just achieved the successful election of Dr Onkar Sahota.
